Chiranjeevi & Aravind discussed the names of the LS & MLA candidates

HYDERABAD: There was intense speculation in the political circles on Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) general secretary Allu Aravind air-dashing to Allagadda to meet his brother-in-law and PRP founder Chiranjeevi. After receiving a phone call from Chiranjeevi, Allu Aravind rushed to Allagadda to deliberate upon the party affairs with Chiru. Chiranjeevi, who is on his tour in Kurnool district, played down Allu Aravind’s sudden visit to Allagadda. “There is nothing special in this,” he said. Party sources, however, said Aravind went to Allagadda with the names of contestants for around 15 Lok Sabha and 75 Assembly seats. The PRP is in a hurry to release the list. Both Chiranjeevi and Aravind discussed the names of the candidates for Kurnool district too, according to sources. As the Congress and the TDP are likely to field stalwarts and prominent leaders in various segments, the PRP, according to sources, is contemplating to field freshers in the polls. According to sources, Chiranjeevi may contest the Tirupati Assembly seat while Aravind is likely to contest either from the Machilipatnam or the Narsapur Lok Sabha seat. Though Aravind is keen to contest in the next elections, some of the party leaders are of the opinion that he should keep away from electoral politics to effectively coordinate the party affairs at the hustings. Though there was speculation that Chiranjeevi had invited Allu Aravind to discuss the latest political developments, including the BJP factor, Chiranjeevi once again reiterated that there was no truck between the PRP and the BJP.
