Bhava Kumar is PRP vijayawada city convener

Boppana Bhava Kumar, belonging to the Kamma community, has been appointed convener of the city unit of the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP), ending days of speculation on who would succeed Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), who stepped down from the post and resigned from the party after levelling serious allegations against party president Chiranjeevi and others. Mr. Bhava Kumar celebrated the appointment along with hundreds of cadres and leaders at a function in the PRP office at Sikhamani Centre. The PRP leadership has chosen a Kamma leader once again for steering the party in the city despite the controversy that arose in the appointment of Nani. The party leadership was said to have persuaded many leaders in different communities before appointing Mr. Bhava Kumar. The PRP leadership also replaced district convenor Muttamsetti Vijaya Nirmala, who was embroiled in controversy following her showdown with Mr. Nani, with Arepalli Ramesh, Pamarru ZPTC
