PRP Convenor Distributed Commodities at 100 to Poor Families

In order to propagate Praja Prajyam’s promise of providing essential commodities at the rate of Rs. 100 per month, the PR district unit has distributed 25 kg rice, 1 kg red gram, 1 kg tamarind and 1 kg salt at the rate of Rs. 100 only to 100 poor families in Karimnagar town on Friday. Formal launch PR district convenor Velichala Rajender Rao formally launched the scheme at the party office by distributing the essential commodities to poor families at the party office in Karimnagar town. Speaking on the occasion, he said that they had decided to further intensify the campaign of providing essential commodities at Rs. 100 through fair price shops after attaining power by conducting similar symbolic programmes in all mandals. He also said that they would also educate the people about other promises of the party such as providing free education to girl child, 50 per cent power subsidy to the domestic consumers, free power to the artisans and other issues. Terming the grand alliance as ‘unholy and unethical’, the PR leader said that the people would teach a fitting lesson to TDP, TRS and Left parties for their ‘nexus’ to attain only power by neglecting their ideologies. He found fault with the TRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao for forging alliance with TDP and Left parties, which were committed for integrated Andhra Pradesh State. He reiterated that the PR was committed for the formation of Telangana statehood by passing a resolution in the State Assembly after attaining power.
