'International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards Function, which is excitedly awaited by the Hindi Film lovers from all over the world was grandly celebrated on June 13th night in Mecav, Hongkong. In this IIFA Awards function, our Telugu actor Dr. Rajendraprasad was felicitated with a rare honor. Normally in such type of grand celebrations, popular and famous celebrities will be having a red carpet entry. But for the first time, with an intention of bringing awareness in the people with regard to the Global Warming, they have spread a green carpet. When the Members of this IIFA committee were thinking about whom to invite as a special dignitary to walk on this green carpet, they remembered Dr. Rajendraprasad. The reason for remembering him was, that he is doing an English movie with the title 'Quick Gun Murugan'. The character of Murugan is a supporter of Vegetarian Food. Green colour is the symbolism of Vegetarian food and so, they have selected Dr. Rajendraprasad for the green carpet entry and invited him to come in the get up of 'Quick Gun Murugan'. This Murugan stood as the centre of attraction in that IIFA Awards celebrations. IIFA Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aiswarya Rai and others had a special interaction with Dr. Rajendraprasad. Oscar Award Winner Rasool Vookutti introduced Dr. Rajendraprasad as 'a great actor from South India', to all the people present in the function.
Rajendraprasad responded very joyfully to this rare honour. He told that he was very much thrilled to receive the Green Carpet Entry invitation, which is a very rare respectful honour. I feel it as a pride to get this honour as a telugu speaking person.
Sasank Ghosh directed the film 'Quick Gun Murugan', which is produced by Fat Fish Films Company. This movie is being released all over the world by PAX Star Studio Company.
