Interview With Rajashekar

Rajasekhar's latest film is 'Na Style a Vaeru'. Bhoomika played the heroine role opposite hero Rajasekhar. Maganti Gopinath is producing this film in the direction of G. Ram Prasad. 'Na Style a Vaeru' movie is getting ready for its release on June 12. In this context, 'CineHerald.com' interviewed hero Rajasekhar. Here are few excerpts of the interview done with him.

How is the movie 'Na Style a Vaeru'?

This is a good comedy entertainer and a beautiful family film. This is a story between two families. A law degree holder who stays away from his law profession, for the sake of a girl wears his black gown (lawyer's dress). How he resolved the problem of that girl is the theme of the story. I played the role of a lawyer and Bhoomika played the role of a girl who gets stuck up in the problems.

Can we imagine your character in a stylish manner as sounded in the title?

Frankly speaking, this title is suitable for any movie. If you ask me whether my character is stylish in this movie? Then I would tell you that there is no particular or a special mannerism in this film. As an actor I will be completing 25 years in my career. In these 25 years, never did I do such type of character. It is a very different type of role for me.

Since, you told that this a different type of character, do you think that this will give you a new turning point to your career?

Certainly there is a chance. A new Rajasekhar will be seen in this movie. If this movie becomes a hit, then I will get an opportunity to do various new characters and this movie would be a starter for them. I will also be having chances to show much more of my talent that is within me.

'Na Style a Vearu' is a remake of Malayalam film 'Hello' isn't it? What were your feelings while watching it?

While watching the Malayalam version, I felt it would be an average film, if we do it in Telugu. But jeevitha and others suggested that it would be nice if I do it. Before accepting to act in the movie 'Gorintaku', I had a doubt as to how it would be if I do it. But Jeevitha told me that it would be very good if I do this and her words came out to be true. That film attained grand success. Even while accepting this film 'Na Style a Vearu', I still had some doubts within my self. After seeing the first copy, I realized that I was wrong in my guessing. The film was very good. Jeevitha along with my kids and me watched the rushes of this movie. They all liked it very much. I also believe that the public will like this movie also.

Did you make any changes to the Malayalam story?

No major changes were made. In Malayalam Mohanlal acted, as the hero and he will be doing some varieties of mannerisms. We felt that it would give an artificial look, if we adopt those mannerisms in Telugu also. So you will not find them in my character. In the same way we have made some minor changes according to the Telugu nativity. Dialogues are very simple and most of them are very near to general public usage language. Because of this, the film gets a natural look in the eyes of the audiences.

Most of your films, which attained success, were all remade films only…. so, can we think that this film also would be a super hit one.?

As you said 90% of the films, which were successful, are all remade films only. I have acted in many remake films such as Simharaasi, Maa Annayya, Suryudu, Ahuti, Gorintaku, etc. Keeping this path in view, I am hoping that 'Na Style a Vearu' will also be a grand success.

You have used a stylish car in this film. Could you tell us something about that?

In Malayalam version, hero will be using a two-wheeler. But to give a different look to this Telugu version, the producer got this stylish car specially manufactured. Now they are planning to organize a lucky draw scheme and gift this car to the winner. Actually my kids are insisting me to purchase this car and keep it for us. But I convinced them saying that the car has been put for a lucky dip and so we are not supposed to buy it.

In future, do you have any idea of acting in remake films?

Presently I liked a remake film and planning to do it in Telugu version. That movie is like 'Seshu' type. So in my opinion it would be nice, if Jeevitha directs it. But she is not accepting for that. Even my kids are against my proposal. Till now I have listened over 30 stories and liked one out of them. I have an intention of doing that film also. We will decide very soon as to which one out of those two will be started first.

What are the reasons for your film 'Satyameva Jayathe' to do averagely in the film market?

May be it would have been a big hit, if it was done with multistarrers. Few of the people are commenting that most of my films are of a routine type and are similar to each other. So, I have decided to do films of different types and different characters.

Tell me about the director and producer of the film 'Na Style a Vearu'?

The director needs to have a brilliant talent to deal with such type of story. Since director Ram Prasad has that talent, he could beautifully picturise it on the big screen. Producer Maganti Gopinath did not compromise anywhere while doing this film. As the movie came out very excellently, he is releasing this movie all over the A.P. on his own.

Itseems that you are also releasing the film on your own?

Yes. As I am confident about the success of this film, I intended to personally release this film in the CEEDED area and doing accordingly.

Do you have any dream role?

I do not have any dream role but wish to do an anti shaded character. Similar to the character done by me in 'Talambraalu', 'Ahuthi'. I am ready to do a character which has total anti shade also, provided I like that character.
