'Jana gana mana Rann hai, is rann mein zakhmi hua hai, bharat ka bhaagya vidhaata, Punjab Sindh Gujarat Maratha...' Those are the tampered lyrics of the National Anthem. All this and more is coming-up in the upcoming RGV film Rann. The movie is based on the psyche of the Media industry in India. RGV has anybody from Amitabh Bachchan to Ritesh Deshmukh to Manisha Koirala to Gul Panag in this film.
RGV feels that he is just expressing his ideas by using those lyrics, and there is nothing derogatory in the way he is using the National Anthem. He says that he has taken enough legal protection to use these lyrics on the National Anthem music.
One is not sure if people of India will let RGV go scot-free for taking these liberties. Let’s see what is in store for RGV.
