Story:
A rotten tale of revenge, the story is about the successful writer Mandakini (Mumaith) whose works have got lot of fans. She specializes in thrillers and murder mysteries but then the story takes a turn when one of the reputed boxers gets murdered and all fingers point towards the direction of Mandakini. The case is taken up by the shrewd cop ACP Rahul but then he ends up in the hospital as he meets with an accident which is also staged and suspected. The case is given to the honest and the smart cop Bose (Siva Balaji) and he begins his investigation. Even his leads take him to Mandakini and despite several forms of interrogation like lie detector etc help in proving that Mandakini is the culprit. However, Bose has his own doubts on Mandakini as most of the happenings take place as per her writings in the book and his deeper investigations make him discover that the murder has something to do with 'Marmakala'. What is the link between the murders and marmakala? Is Mandakini the cause for all this? How is the suspense revealed forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director attempted to come up with a murder mystery of sorts but then he failed to keep the excitement due to his poor narration and presentation. The dialogues are just okay, the script lacked the spine and the screenplay was stale. Music was nowhere near melodious and the cinematography was raw. Editing could have done things better but even that didn't work. Costumes were neat, art department was alright. Coming to the cast, Mumaith Khan looked better than her previous movies and has carried herself well. Siva Balaji was not the right choice as he looked too chocolate for a cop, Shraddha was generously sexy and oozed out her oomph at the drop of hat, Krishna Bhagawan was standard, Venu Madhav could have been better, Rangaraju could not impress much, Kondavalasa was below mark, Jeeva was weak this time. The others did not have much say.

Conclusion:
The film has been a direct lift from the Hollywood blockbuster 'Basic Instinct' and few changes were made here and there to suit the Indian taste. That has spoiled the film and whiles the first half was all about the suspense aspect, the second half failed to capture the shock points correctly and it looked dull and disinteresting. The film was low on content and poor in technical values so it wont be able to sustain at the box office.
