This might come across as a revelation to a few but then it is being said very strongly that the former IAS officer Jayaprakash Narayan who has now got into politics and formed the ‘Lok Satta’ party has a very strong link with the media baron Ramoji Rao who heads the Eenadu group.
Sources close to both say that there was a time when JP used to receive a whopping 50k-1 lakh rupees for the articles he contributed to the Eenadu paper from Ramoji whereas the others would get a paltry 500- 1000 rupees. So much so that JP is said to have a magazine that is still running and has a subscription of less than 3000 copies but it has a solid backing from one of the distribution set ups of Ramoji.
It is said that Ramoji wanted to create an alternative political power in the form of JP and then associate him with the long standing Telugu Desam Party but for some reasons, that failed to work out. Recently, JP is said to have met up with Ramoji again and folks are wondering what is there in the menu this time.
Analysts now say that JP is well learned man, good speaker and manager but not a reasonable leader. No cadre was built up in Lok Satta till now and no one knows who the lady that moves along with him all the time. Inside sources say that he is still in regular contact with Ramoji Rao and some secret affair is going on between him and that media baron.
Can anyone ask Chiranjeevi/balakrishna/Nagarjuna/Mahesh babu or any other famous actor to act for Rs.50,000 for any movie? Will they do it?
ReplyDeleteDoes any producer have to spend Rs.50,000 for a person who has not acted even in one movie, and desperate to act in a movie?
Cannot they understand simple logic that, those who have more reputation/skills/data will take/expect/demand more money than the one who does not have?
Dr.JP is ready to meet, form an alliance, or do anything for the improvement of the situation in the country. There is no secret about it. It is all public. Chiranjeevi met JP many times before and after forming Prajarajyam. Dr.JP is the only leader who meets politicians of all the parties, and shares dias with them. There is no other leader in the present state politics who does that.
Dr.JP has been working with Eenadu/ETV for the last 12 years or so. Because of that, he is obviously close to Ramoji Rao. I cannot understand what the author is trying to say. For their information, the only thing that loksatta is getting from Ramoji Rao is, getting 10-15 lines of press release regularly. TV5 and NTV are giving more publicity to Loksatta than Eenadu.
If I want to give more information about this, it may go down to personal attacks, which I don't want to. So, I will stop here.
